In this course, you’ll study sunflowers as a subject while learning real painting skills: drawing from observation, colour mixing, brushwork, composition, texture, and acrylic techniques.
You’ll begin with simple sunflower studies and gradually build toward your own finished sunflower painting. The course is inspired by Van Gogh’s expressive use of yellow, movement, and visible brushstrokes, but your final artwork can be personalized or a study based on Van Gogh's various flowers.
No experience is needed. You’ll be guided step by step in a calm, small-group setting.

This course takes painting outside the studio and onto the beach. You’ll learn how to observe quickly, simplify a landscape, mix natural colours, capture changing light, and create expressive beach and seascape paintings.
Each class focuses on one practical plein air skill, from sketching a scene to painting clouds, water, sand, and atmosphere. The course is beginner-friendly, but also suitable for people who already paint and want to become more confident working outdoors.
